Sometimes I dream of water is  Darkships’s  debut composition . Primitive,  Obsessive, Low Fi, intense, Sounds of proto Psychedelic jazz fusion such as Parson Sound or John McLaughlin’s Devotion. A  ritualistic onslaught . Dream state, Water as transition and recurring memory.
Sometimes , I dream of water was the first release based around a serious of repetitive dreams one of the collective had in 2011. Water as the journey. The window into the next world. Soundscapes of field recordings, found sounds, environmental  field recordings . Beauty and disorientation. The nearness of beauty becomes laughingly obvious, the players merely indicators of what is there already.  Electronics, field recordings  and whole band studio improvisations. Recorded mainly live in a variety of locations around cornwall in 2013. Although Darkships were largely instrumental There a re a couple of addition vocal mixes here too.
Initially recorded in 2012, Sometimes I dream of water was effectively shelved in 2013 following immense difficulty with separating the music from the personal influences that drove its creation at the time. Obsessive production that built layer over layer and even vocals/ spoken word at one point.
