Golden Plovers take off.

My movement taps the magnetic sky
And the swarm aligns
To field lines of collective survival
Flash white in tight turn
Squash in low slow-motion ball
And expand into long lines
Flung out from the roundabout
Congretgate and change shape until higher than the threat.

Patterns of sedge in a pool. Shaped by the wind to form a bird. Like Birds were. It was raining so hard my phone wouldn’t take my fingerprint. I drew it when I got home. It exists in the imagination.Not what was there but how I remembered it.
